Hearing health-related issues are the most common conditions veterans experience. According to the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, in 2020:
- more than 1.3 million Veterans were receiving disability compensation for hearing loss.
- more than 2.3 million received compensation for tinnitus.
Veterans experience a higher risk of developing hearing health conditions due to environmental exposure to loud noise (operating heavy machinery, aircraft, tanks, etc.). This can cause noise-induced hearing loss and/or tinnitus, a ringing or buzzing noise in the ears.
Our practice is committed to increasing accessibility to hearing healthcare for Veterans. This includes providing support with navigating the VA's benefits - health benefits, disability compensation, etc. We also offer quality services that Veterans can benefit from tremendously. This includes comprehensive testing and custom hearing protection that can prevent noise-induced hearing loss.
